Default legality of offering sailing charters

    Hi
I am an American captain with a United States Documented sailing vessel. I am trying to find out the legality of offering sailing charters/ whale watching trips in the Bahamas. I own and operate a whale watching business near Vancouver Canada and I always have guests that want to come sail with me in the winter somewhere warm. I love the Bahamas and I would like to start a business there. I already have the charter guests. I would like to find out the legality and costs of such a business and where to apply.

    Thank you
    Captain Bill

You'll need to submit a business plan, get a business license from the bahamian Gov't, work permit etc, as well as a bahamian business partner. (especially in the tourist industry). There are some business that are restrccted to outsiders. This might be one of them.

    Good luck!
