    Default Camping on the Beach

    Hi,
I was wondering if people are allowed to camp on or close to beaches. This includes creating camp fires etc. Also is security going to be an issue? for instance am I going to be robbed or something while sleeping in the tent at night?

Another question is would it be beneficial to rent a car? I am planning to go around the islands probably with the ferries etc. but I couldn't find to see if cars are allowed on the ferries or not. Also anyone know of the car rental rate...

    Thanks in advance

It's illegal.. and unsafe, to camp in the bahamas.
You may find someone in the outislands who would allow you to use his private property, but it would definitly not be wise to just show up with camping in mind.

Security, as well as wild dogs are an issue. Robbery would be a big concern.

I wouldn't think that renting a car would be wise. Some ferries have car transport, some do not, and most will NOT transfer rental cars from one island to another.

You won't need a car in Nassau.

Was you there on All inclusive holidays because because if you went there with the tourism company then it may be allowed because companies do have contract with authorities.
