    Default Island hopping?

Hi everyone who is reading this! This will be my first time to the Bahamas! I think we are going to stay at Freeport but heard there are a lot to do in Nassau too. my question is , are there any cheap public transportations like boat services ( not that expensive ferries) to take us from one island to the other? :?

There are Ferries to islands such as Eleuthera, Abaco and Andros. The ferry fare is between $40-$60 one way. If you are coming to Grand Bahama island there is no ferry. There is a mailboat for about $60.00 one way and the trip is about 10 hours to Nassau. However you can fly by local airline for $80 on a 30min flight. All the Ferries leave Nassau for the rest of the island. You can travel to Eleuthera on a one day excursion on the Bo Hengy Ferry.
