I just found your chat site, and am hoping someone can help me out.

My son and I are wanting to go to the Bahamas somewhere between Nov 15 and Dec 15. We aren't your typical sun seeking tourists, although my son (25yrs old) does scuba dive, we really don't like the hot sun. What we like to do is beach comb and treasure hunt.
My question:
We would like to find a local person from, the north end of Andros up to Great Harbour cay (Berry Islands),that would be willing to either rent us a boat or captain their boat and ferry us around to the various small islands between these two points. We would like to do this for about 10 days. The reason we don't just get a fishing boat charter is that we can't afford the several hundred per day it would cost. Plus we would really like to just visit with ordinary island people and not the commercial vacation personell (no offense intended). Additionally if there were any local folk that would be willing to accomodate a couple western Canadian men in a spare bedroom (who don't need or want to be catered to) to make some extra cash, that would be really great!!!!
