Default working in the Bahamas - as an Au Pair

i know the working in the Bahamas question has been asked a buttload of times, but i can't quite find the answer i require. maybe i'm an idiot, but i'm asking again.

i currently live and work in London, with a family who split their time living and working between London and the Bahamas. as i am their au pair, i'm planning on returning to the Bahamas with them soon, to continue working.

i am having trouble working out what my situation is here. our travel plans are undecided at the moment, we'll be in the Bahamas until christmas, as far as i can tell i would be granted entry [i have a NZ (Commonwealth) passport] but as yet i do not have a return/onward ticket, which i understand is a requirement. any ideas as to who would i contact to help me with this?

any help would be much appreciated.

Travelers from the UK do not require a visa for stays of up to six months on The Islands of the Bahamas. All that is required is a passport valid for six months from the date of departure from The Bahamas, proof of funds and a valid onward or return ticket.

You can apply for a visa at these offices:

I know it can be difficult to get the answers - I can't give you the answers, but here is the number for the Ministry of Labour & Immigration. I suspect they can help - (242)322-7530

    Good luck!
