Default What to do?/Passports vs. Birth certificates

I have seen a few open markets to go to, a park or a zoo of some sort (can't remember). We are swimming with the dolphins, going a cruise one night but we are there for 4 days what can we do? Also food places I saw someone spoke about the stoned crab. Any suggestions there either.

Last Question we are not getting passports. What kind of trouble or time do you think it will take getting through customs. Never been out of the states before. What else do we need besides birth certificates and photo id?

    Thanks
    Jen

Just wanted to address your passport situation.
Up until the end of this year, you State issued photo ID or license along with your original birth certificate with raised seal will suffice. Women whose names are different due to marriage will need a copy of their marriage certificate.
As of Jan 1, 2006, you will both need passports.
