Purchasing land in Cat Island or Eleuthera - seek direction

Thanks in advance for your time & aid. I am actively shopping for a parcel in Cat Island or Eleuthera. To date I have found an acre on Cat that has my interest. Any advice, points of interest or "for sale" offers are appreciated, as well as comparisions of the 2 islands (hurricane impact...).
My basic criteria is: Caribbean blue water; swimmable beach (or the ability to clear/create one); minimum of one acre divided into 2 or more buildable lots; quite area; ammenenities at site or accessible; breeze, but not overpowering windy area.

this has nothing to do with your question but i thought you might be able to help hope you don't mind.i've noticed a few plots for sale around $10,000 in great exuma, i live in england and am looking for an investment but this sounds to cheap is there a catch to buying, the place looks amazing but why so cheap?

hi, I too plan on moving to either cat island or long island. I now live in brooklyn, ny and have acquired generational land on both cat island and long island. I have approximately 7 acres. I dont yet know what im going to do with the wxcess land for all i would need is 1 to possibly 2 acres for myself.
