My friends and I like to partake in herbal refreshment, if you know what I mean. Is it possible to take any along, or would it be best left at home? We don't want to try it if it's too risky. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

A Bahamian prison (Fox Hill) is not a nice place.
I have heard of people getting away with it...I just wasn't sure how tight security is. (i.e. thermal xray, cavity searches...etc. I've heard things, but you never really know until you go) I obviously don't want to go to prison...I just want to have fun on my vacation. =) Thanks for your reply.
The first line of security is in the U.S. airports.
Bahamas customs have dogs checking luggage. (this is sporatic).
If you look suspicious, they will go thru your belongings before entering the arrivals area in Nassau.
Although there's plenty of weed sold around Nassau, you should be aware that the police arrest buyers as well as sellers, and go undercover to do so.
Bahamian jails are not pretty.
Thank you for elaborating, Tamara. I just wasn't sure exactly how tight security is. I think we'll pass on that one! I don't want to spend my vacation in the slammer! I'm sure there'll be plenty of liquor if we want to get buzzed...=)~
there is a young lady from my home country who is very good looking and educated. but unfortunately she is languishing in a cell in the prison that is situated in denpasar/bali/indonesia. the reason she is there concerns 'green herbal substance' which has resulted in her recent trial. BUT there is no joke about this situation because there is a strong possibility that she could face a firing squad. the trial prosecutor had a man from africa executed for trafficking a lesser amount. i once wrote that "you might as well get a rope and hang yourself" if you suffer from a chronic drug problem. but there are some countries that will do that for you via the judicial system. it may be barbaric and un-warranted to execute some one for drug smuggling in the eyes of western and democratic nations. but also realise that developed western nations have more tolerance and also implement rehabilitation programs, where many developing countries do not. with regards."from the far side of the world". gary.
