Which is the best Island to live on????

We are looking to purchase some land to build a holiday home, but are unsure of which island to look into. We enjoy diving and watersports. We would like to be in an area that is peaceful but near a town for shopping dinner travel etc etc. Has anyone got any advice????

Hi,

I would recommend the island of Great Exuma, which is the largest island of the 365 islands of the Exuma archipelago. It is a beautiful place and has daily, direct flights from Nassau and south Florida. One development in particular that was gorgeous is February Point Resort Estates, a gated resort community on an 80 acre waterfront peninsula located half a mile from George Town, the Capital of the Exumas. The owners I spoke with there seem very happy with their homes and told me the place really feels like a community - owners get together alot - and there is a marina onsite where you could keep a boat. there is great snorkelling and scuba as well as sailing, fishing... it is a paradise for people who love the water. If you like, I can refer you to someone at February Point if you send a private email to me. He was very nice to deal with and was very helpful with info on buying land and moving there.

I also would like to recommend the island of Great Exuma,there are several beautiful islands.Peoples of there are extremely happy with their homes.So,Why don't you try there and become a part of that happy community?
