i was just about to "doze off" while watching my ancient television. when the sports section of the late news appeared and i viewed a member of the bahamian team "crossing the line" to win a gold medal [track and field]. a very fine effort by the sportswoman invovled, and even one gold medal makes the effort of going to athens worthwhile. considering the bahamas has a population of only aprox 300,000 and the olympic team comprises of 24 plus there are a record number of nations competing this year. it is definately "a job well done". with regards."from the far side of the world". gary.
