Need info--new visitor

We will be visting the island in late December for the first time since our honeymoon in 1970! We need to be able to stay in touch with a pregnant daughter and an elderly mother. I would appreciate any information on internet cafes or internet access. We are staying at a timeshare at Crowne Plaza/Sunspree and have a rental car reserved. Also, does anyone have any information on the quality of reception for a satellite phone? Is there cell phone rental available on the island? Thanks much.

If you need to stay up to speed,not what a trip is for but the Island has several cyber cafes run by a local,and well staffed,Port Lucaya area one in the market place was nice,other is near Freeport,Just get a BATELco. card from the Batelco. store near Port Lucaya in the mall and use it in the phone bank on site!!!!!!!!! otherwise some cards will not work and your screwed!the staff was real helpfull and got our call off after 9-11 when nobody could call home!
I hear you can get a cell but cost is high and well a satalite phone way out of my legue,good luck and go to relax, if you cant re-think going,what will be will be-MANNNNNNN!
