Hurricane Season- First time to Bahamas

:?: What is the weather like in Oct and Nov? I am planning to visit a friend in the Exumas during this time...any suggestions/warnings regarding hurricane season?

Although October/November is still hurricane season, most of the storms should be passed by then. Of course, you should keep checking the weather sites/forecast, as we usually can see a tropical storm coming well in advance.
October is a terrific month, warm and sunny with low humidity, November is still a great month to travel, warm days and cool nites.

There is no way to predict storm systems this far in advance.

8) Susan, I am sure that you will enjoy your time but if you have a chance to visit some of the other islands while there you can use the fast ferries or the mailboats to get you there. Check the Bahamas official website for upcoming events that would be enjoyable. I recommend Eleuthra, Andros, and Long Island. Each one has its own unique adventures and splendid enjoyment.
