Heading to Freeport in August, need tips and prices & id

Hi,

Me and my girl are heading there to stay at the Ritz second week of August. I'm very familiar with Cancun, but never been to the Bahamas.
I'm sure there are tourist traps and all kinds of places to spend lots of money at. But I'm interested in hearing from folks who are experienced and know where to go to save some money, still have some fun and nice food.
We like snorkeling and just about anything to do with the water! Any excursions off the beat and path? I'd love to hear anything you have to offer, warnings and tips!!!!

Hi David,
You will love Grand Bahama-The Ritz-Tanio Beach well may be different,Its a Great location,Great Beach,Great Zero entry pool and then thats it.
Let me say The Pirates cove has a great snorkel tour at Dead mans reef,at a great rate and the pick up too, its on a live reef thats a great trip~!
Water sports are to be had across the canal from your resort at Our Lucaya-a Westin Resort-They have Para sail,Banana Boat ,Jet Skis,sail boats,cats rentals too!
You need to rent a car to get to some out of the way spots,but some beach bars will pick you up with a lunch Our choice is Maragritavilla-aka The Sand Bar is real great joint or the Club Caribe has new owners and is next door but have heard mixed reviews.well can go on and on but e-mail us for any more info at brad_i@hotmail.com
