andros island

Can anyone tell me about andros island and where to stay. My husband wants to bonefish and I like the beach and snorkeling.

I also had a question regarding Andros island. Is there a ferry that runs between Nassau and Andros, or is the only way to get there by air?? Thanks.

They have scheduled runs to Andros from Potter's Cay in Nassau.

BahamasAir should have flights as well as Chalks.

Andros is better than Fla., but not by much. Long Island and Cat Islands are much, much more beautiful with similar fishing. Andros is big and flat, with shallow water everywhere. Long Island and Cat Islands have more interesting land forms, incredible beaches on both the ocean and lee side, and judging by the number and kind of fish people have caught while staying at Chez Pierre's on Long Island, the island of Andros can't be any better for fishing.
