How hard is it to start a business in the bahamas? I have and idea and even a location in mind, How do I find out th guide lines ..etc

May I suggest you send a business prospectus or plan to prominent companies who have expressed an interest in developing business on the islands. What's the number of La Donald's numbered company? You never know he just might need another good pair of legs! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! 8)

it is very difficult to start a business in Nassau or any of the other family islands

also, it is very expensive

there are certain business reserved for Bahamians alone

then there are business where you would have to a Bahamina partner; who will have to be the registered owner of 51%

having a business can be done, but you have to do your research

There's quite a few links to government agencies and information.

I must tell you that it is much more difficult to start a business in the bahamas than most other caribbean countries (probably because of it's proximity to the US..)
Similar criteria for most island countries.. but Bahamas is less likely to approve.
