Default living and working in the bahamas

I am a student at the moment and am thinking about living in the bahamas for 6 months to maybe a year or more! who knows.... Would love it if somebvody could give me some suggestions on what it is like living over there and also where in particular to search for accomadation. I am training as a Speech and Language therapist and would like to go out there and work when I finish, any suggestions as to how I would go about looking for a job from over here? (I live in London) ?

You won't be allowed to work in the bahamas if you are not a bahamian (you need a work permit). Jobs are open to bahamians only, unless you are a acredited teacher, doctor or nurse.[/code]

    Default Club Med?

Tamara ZOO is right, except Club Med brings foreigners in (I think).

You're right. Club Med hires from all over the world, the catch is.. you have to speak at least 2 languages (preferably french), have some skills, talents, and personality, and cannot pick the village where you will be stationed. So you could still land in Colorado, Mexico or Bora Bora.
I worked for Club Med as a GO a few years back.. I lucked out and worked at Paradise Island. I could only stay 6 months, then they pack you off to another village. They work your buns off for very little pay, and very little time off.
