Looking for Lot we own in Bahama Acres on Little Exuma

We have title to a waterfront lot on Great Exuma and am wondering if there was any development done or carried out. It was a development called Bahama Acres and the lots were sold around the 1960's. Does anyone know anything about it? thanks

Can you be more specific about your subdivision and lot number as there has recently been a good deal of activity on Exuma. depending upon where it is located will determine if it's worth much.

Dear Winston,
I do not know about the Lots on Exuma or Bahama sound but I would like to know if there are any lots for sale there? I have heard of a company called Bahama Acres selling lots around Bahama sound and Exuma in general and I wondered if this was a bona-fide company etc' ? Any info at all about lots for sale on Exuma would be of interest to me, if you can help, I'd be most grateful. Many Thanks.

I guess I can join the list of those looking for info in Bahama Acres in Exuma. My aunt owns two lots purchased in the 70's and might be interested in selling. Did anyone have success in their research?

I found web information on Bahama Acres Limited, the developer of Bahama Sound, a Bahamian corporation formed in 1960 by Frank N. Magnuson. This must be valid 'cause we have documents signed by him. They have a sales office in George Town. If you have info please contact me at cidupont@aol.com

Sounds like we have the same tite to a lot in bahama acres. I contacted a realtor about this awhile ago and she gave me some info. Actually, I contacted a couple. I could try and find them for you and send them to you, if you like. Tell me the lot number your aunt owns; I'm curious.

Have you ever been tempted to go down and look at the lot? Also, have taxes been paid on the lot? Apparently, they instituted taxes in the 70's. That's what I was told when I did a search around 1995 to see if we still owned the lot.

I don't recall where exactly Bahamas Sound 11 was. You may want to take a trip down there though. A resort (Emerald Bay) was recently built on the island (still working towards completion) over the past few years and covered an expansive area of the island. It is on the West end of the island though, near Steventon, and I seem to think Bahamas Sound was closer to Georgetown, however I could be mistaken.
