Thinking of moving to Exuma

I have been speaking to a friend of mine who makes the idea of living in Exuma seem relatively easy - provided one's lifestyle doesn't need to be too extravagant.
I live in the states and would appreciate any input any of you could give me on the best and most economical ways to move and live down there. I'm singe, so smaller dwellings are fine - it's the difficulties with work visas and non Bahamians obtaining employment that I've heard mostly about.

I would suggest you to go there for some months on special package like we have got it. Reply me then i will tell you the company. My friend and I are going to Exuma in a couple of weeks on All inclusive holiday package. We want to go out past the harbour, but have been told we need an experienced guide.I will arrange it .
