My husband and I are seriously considering moving to the Bahamas...Nassau to be specific. Would love some info on some things: Internet- phone- long distance service ... problems? cost? outages?

Also if we rent/buy a home, are they all furnished? or is it cheaper to ship our things?

And a vehicle.. probably a Jeep or something... cheaper to buy a used one there or ship one from Miami??

hi. we are americans considering the same ... sorry can't be of help but if anyone has answered you or if I find anything out ourselves I will share asap. I do know that it costs about 10,000 usd for a work permit but most companies will cover it if the job can not be filled by a bahamas citizens. that's all I know so far.
