Foreign man married to bahamian woman

What rights does a foreign male have when entering the Bahamas after being married to a bahamian woman and does he need a visa to enter. If this person have children living in bahamas how does he care for them if he cant work until the permit is granted. i.e These children were born in the bahamas.

Great question. I will check on this. I would think he should be granted a VISA fairly quickly.

Thanks for your reply. This person is at the detention centre they say for overstaying his time here, but the thing is ....he was sent out of the bahamas to Cuba , where his fiance of 2 years went and they got married, but he is still being denied entry back. He has been sent to Cuba a total of 4 times and Cuba sent him back, so they are holding this married man for no apparent reason, I think its not human for us to treat him and others who may be in the same situation in this manner. I commend Mr. Ingraham our Prime Minister for allowing the Hatians to go free because of the devistation in their home land and God knows that my heart goes out to them, but there are others who are suffering needlessly at the detention center and consideration needs to be given them especially the one who is legally married.
